Maker: Texor
Model: Canvas Tool Tote
Material: Heavy-duty cotton duck canvas with metal-riveted base & handles
Time Period: 1970s–1980s
Original Purpose & Usage:
Originally designed as a rugged tool carrier for electrical linemen, these totes were built to endure the demands of field work on utility poles and construction sites. Their thick canvas walls, reinforced bottoms, and sturdy webbing or leather handles were engineered to carry heavy steel tools, coils of wire, and safety gear without tearing.

Although there is not much information about the Texor brand, it’s safe to assume they were in production for a short period during the 1970s-1980s, and were likely mostly used by blue collar workers in the New York region.
